80s Baseball Player of the Day

An ode to baseball's eightiest decade

Tom Browning had a pretty accomplished career, pitching the 12th perfect game in MLB history and winning a World Series title.
For all of his important accolades, I prefer to remember the burly southpaw for his starring role in one of the greatest base-brawls in the history of the game.
Mets vs. Reds at Riverfront Stadium in 1986 was about as epic as it gets, starting with Ray Knight clobbering Eric Davis. If you’ve never seen it, track it down.
It’s well worth it.
