If legendary brawler Ray Knight played for the Dodgers, things might have shook out differently.

Although kudos to Matt Kemp for attempting a postgame fight with Quentin in the bowels of Dodger Stadium. Bonus points for insulting Stanford, Quentin’s alma mater.

“I think Carlos Quentin went to Stanford, something like that?” Kemp said after the game. “I heard there’s smart people at Stanford. That wasn’t too smart. Greinke didn’t do anything wrong. That stuff happens in the minor leagues. It doesn’t happen in the big leagues.”

The “Steroid Era” is coming back to haunt MLB, in the form of record-obliterating superstars like Sosa, Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens being eligible for Cooperstown.

Personally, I don’t care if they get in. Bonds and Clemens were Hall of Famers prior to becoming (allegedly) human pincushions.

And Slammin’ Sammy (not Sam Snead), well, he should be there based purely on comedic relevance.

Nick Swisher signed with the Cleveland Indians today.

As a New York Yankee fan, I’m glad I won’t be subjected to “Swishalicious“‘s miserable postseason flailing anymore.

I will miss the sky-point after a double against the Royals in June and the tongue-wagging though.

Anyway, his pappy Steve Swisher is probably pretty hyped up, bro.
