Along with pitching a no-hitter back in 1993 against the Boston Beaneaters, the second in Kingdome history, Chris Bosio compiled a pretty solid MLB career.
Also, the difficulty of pitching a no-no is amplified when you’re dipping 16 oz. of Skoal Cherry like Bosio is in this picture.
But you knew that already.
The city of Seattle never demolished the Kingdome, they just hid it inside of Alvin Davis’ mustache.
Davis was the AL Rookie of the Year in 1984, giving fans in the Pacific Northwest something to root for while the M’s were perennially stinking out the joint. And before “Twin Peaks” came on the air.
Those caps always reminded me of “S” cookies for some strange reason.
